In June of 2004, Randy and Ellie took the family to Cancun.
- Daughter Breann and husband Reid
- Son Ian and fiance' Bethany
- Randy's Mom Lorraine
- Ellie's Dad Jerry
- Reid's Parents: Al and Shirley
- Reid's Sister: Rachel and her friend from high school Claire
One of the days while in Cancun, the entire group ... ages 17 to 83, went on an adventure called the Jungle Cruise. With 2 people per "boat", we cruised across the lagoon to an island located in the lagoon where navigated channels between banyan trees and observed the area wide life. After about 45 minutes we exited into the ocean just off the coast of Cancun and the Mayan Riviera where we snorkeled for about 45 minutes.
Ellie & Jerry (dad) waving to the wild life. Ellie kept having to slow down because Jerry was always trying to stand on the seat and balance like he was on a surf board.
Ian and Bethany cruising through the banyan trees
Randy and Lorry (mom) creating quite a wake
"Reid, stop that and LOOK where we're going."

You can't be a certified diver as Randy, Ellie and Reid are and not take advantage of all of the beautiful underwater sights in Cancun. After Bre completed her scuba training in the morning, we left Cancun to travel to some of the coral reefs just off the coast of the island of Isla Mujeres (the island of the woman). This is a small/narrow island just off the coast of Cancun. Most of the inhabitants of the island travel using golf carts, an experience Randy and Ellie had the previous year.
Bre is lead to the bottom by the dive master. Earlier in the day, she completed her training in the onshore pool.
As Bre becomes more comfortable (if that's ever possible Bre says), she finds out that it is very difficult to shout, "REID, STOP THAT" with a regulator in your mouth
Randy and Ellie enjoying scuba diving through the coral reefs that are off Isla Mujeres. It is quite an experience to see the CLEAR water for hundreds of feet and the colorful aquatic life which is very different from the fresh water diving that they had previously experience in the midwest.

Ian and Bethany spent most of their time in Cancun, just relaxing and being together.
One of the first days after we arrived, Ian and Bethany went parasailing along the coast near our resort.
Bethany and Ian snorkeling during the jungle cruise trip which was taken by the entire group. You can see the coast of the Mayan Riviera in the background. We were able to snorkel in a protected coral reef habitate that was filled with hundreds if not thousands of fish swimming many times in large groups.
